Abstract
The following paper discusses the meta-analysis of domestic studies regarding career-related art therapy. The motivation of this meta-analysis is aimed at drawing reliable and valid conclusions about the effects of career-related art therapy. Among domestic masters and doctoral theses and academic journals from 2004 to February 2018, 30 studies have been selected for the purpose of this analysis. By dependent variable, career maturity was the most common, with high school students being the dominant test subjects. The most often used method was mixed media, with 8-10 individuals being the largest population size. The number of therapy sessions conducted was 11-15 times with one or two sessions held weekly, and most sessions lasted 61-90 minutes. The average effect size on career-related art therapy was 1.24, which indicated a strong effect by Cohen¡¯s standards. Examining the average effect size of the career-related art therapy program, the following response variables had the greatest effect size, in order of highest to lowest: career identity, career efficacy, career maturity, self-understanding, career decision-making, and career perception. The most statistically significant population groups, in order of significance, were college students, others, middle school students, elementary school students, and high school students. By method, using a single method produced the strongest effect, and statistical significance. Using the theoretical approach method did not have statistically significant results. By session duration, the average effect size was the largest in order from, 61-90, below 60, and 91-120 minutes. However, they were not statistically significant. It is expected that the strongest effect size can be obtained when the program is composed of 8-10 group members and conducted once per week with below 10 times.
